Sweet as Candy - 49 and Market Spectrum Sherbet

Hello everyone and welcome to my newest page using the amazing Spectrum Sherbet range which suits my gorgeous, happy, sassy, sweet as candy amazing little grand daughter.

I have started with the solids Watermelon paper and machine sewn zig-zag and straight stitch around the edges, while I had my machine out I decided to stitch around the chipboard part of the Strawberry Lemonade Frame sets. The Painted Foundations - Washed paper has been trimmed to 11x11" and adhered to the background paper.

A section of the butterfly 6x8 paper has been framed in the zig-zag small frame and slipped under the photographs on the left. To add interest I have cut around the orange butterfly and raised it's wings. When you do this it makes a hole at the back of your paper so I have added a piece of the pink paper as a peek a boo backing, then added an Orange Index clip to balance the frame.

On the right hand side under the layers is a piece of painted corregated card to which I have added one of the lace 12x12 rub ons.

I have layered pieces of the ephemera pack together with laser cuts. To add dimension to the elements rub the back on a mouse pad with a pen or tool.

The gorgeous chipboard words and shapes have been added along with the acetate leaves. To finish off my layout I have added an array of the 6x8 rub on transfers like the stitching, strips, stars and butterflies. One of the butterflies I have added to clear acetate to give it form and shape like it is flying.

I hope you have enjoyed my bright and beautiful layout today and I will see you soon.

Joyful - 49 and Market - Double layout

Hello 49 and Market fans,  I have a double layout today of my super gorgeous grand son pretending to ride my bicycle plant pot holder, cheeky, loveable little boy he is!

I have started with two pages of the Cotton Candy papers as my base and ripped a piece of the Limeade paper and attached it to the middle of both sheets.

I was punching out the tag shapes at the top of the page and loved the 'waste' part that was left and decided to make an 'arrow' border along the bottom of each sheet which I used papers from the 6x8 Tidal Wave paper collection.

This actually took quite awhile but I love the way it turned out so was well worth it.
I have also used the 6x8 collection papers and the Remnants pack as mats for all of the photographs, then layered pieces of the tag set, ephemera pack and laser cut pieces.

I have chosen all of the teal and lime colours from the chipboard word and chipboard shapes pack to add onto tags and as the title of the double layout.

To finish off my pages I have added the amazing Tidal Wave acetate leaves along with wishing bubbles and baubles plus the Curators Essentials metal index clips.

Thanks for taking the time to come over to the blog and I hope I have inspired you to create.

1st Birthday - Dusty Attic July Mood Board Inspiration

\\
Hello Dusty FANattics and welcome to July mood board challenge, this is such a beautiful pretty board.
You could win one of two AUD $50 credits to the
DUSTY ATTIC ONLINE STORE

This layout is of my beautiful little grand daughter on her FIRST Birthday. Her headband and tutu have the colours of the Mood Board in them so was perfect for this challenge.

I wanted to create a magical little scene as she looks like a little fairy herself. So I started with the new large Gnome, butterflie and Songbirds.

I have spray painted all of my chipboard pieces with white matt paint and let dry.

Then  I have used watercolour paints to colour all of the pieces, when you have painted over the top you can use a damp brush to then lift paint off, like the white sections on the toadstools, wings on the songbirds and parts of the large gnome.

The 1st Birthday title I have left white and adhered it to the photo and added one of the songbirds at the top. The wings can be adhered straight or on an angle like I have to look like it is in use.

After making a cluster with the toadstools I have added botanical mix pieces, the cute little one that looks like love hearts is a fav of mine together with pink and mint flowers.

I have coloured the large gnome also with watercolours, at first I had used too much and he was quite bright. Just use a baby wipe to take the colour off you don't want then I added some white gesso to his hat to add some texture. The finishing touch was adding words from the word strip #2 pack.
