Sweet as Candy - 49 and Market Spectrum Sherbet

Hello everyone and welcome to my newest page using the amazing Spectrum Sherbet range which suits my gorgeous, happy, sassy, sweet as candy amazing little grand daughter.

I have started with the solids Watermelon paper and machine sewn zig-zag and straight stitch around the edges, while I had my machine out I decided to stitch around the chipboard part of the Strawberry Lemonade Frame sets. The Painted Foundations - Washed paper has been trimmed to 11x11" and adhered to the background paper.

A section of the butterfly 6x8 paper has been framed in the zig-zag small frame and slipped under the photographs on the left. To add interest I have cut around the orange butterfly and raised it's wings. When you do this it makes a hole at the back of your paper so I have added a piece of the pink paper as a peek a boo backing, then added an Orange Index clip to balance the frame.

On the right hand side under the layers is a piece of painted corregated card to which I have added one of the lace 12x12 rub ons.

I have layered pieces of the ephemera pack together with laser cuts. To add dimension to the elements rub the back on a mouse pad with a pen or tool.

The gorgeous chipboard words and shapes have been added along with the acetate leaves. To finish off my layout I have added an array of the 6x8 rub on transfers like the stitching, strips, stars and butterflies. One of the butterflies I have added to clear acetate to give it form and shape like it is flying.

I hope you have enjoyed my bright and beautiful layout today and I will see you soon.

Simply Perfect- Dusty Attic mood board challenge

Hello everyone, today I am sharing my take on the Dusty Attic Mood Board challenge for August, it is super sweet pinks and browns.

This photo of my gorgeous little grand daughter was taken at a park where she kept bobbing her head down and saying "Peek-A-Boo".  This is just one of the many things that photographs do, evoke memories attached to them.

I started by spray painting all of my chipboard except the frame and title white. While it was drying I have covered the Distress Frame with the patterned paper and machine stitched around the edges of the pink background.

I have painted an ombre effect onto the Simply Perfect title with browns and pinks, and the pink of the little frames. I have added black card behind the mini hearts to make them "pop" and some of the patterned paper inside.

The Cherry Blossom tree and the cute little Songbird have been painted using the same brown for the branches and pink for the blossoms adding white, dark pink and light brown dots.

The flowers, leaves and bird are fussy cut from the Forest tea party paper. The chippy toadstools layered in between where a must along with the awesome dandelions, you can't see them and not want to make a wish.

The Forrest Friends Llamas are simply just too super gorgeous together with the cute little Forrest Friends Reindeer.  I have left them mainly white and just coloured their wool and scarves with fine tipped markers.

Capture this moment - 49 and Market Curators Meadow with Dusty Attic chipboard

Hello everyone, today I am back with a second layout using the NEW Curators Meadow range for another gorgeous photo of my grand children at a photo shoot at the Yanchep National park.

I have started with the Wings and Things 12x12 paper and absolutely loved the barcode strip along the bottom so left that on and trimmed the top off instead.

From the Juniper paper I have torn the left hand side section off and used the bird images added to the base paper and the other section underneath the photograph with two of the 6x8 papers from the paper pad.

Mushroom laser cuts are amazing, so many to choose from, this log one was perfect for along the bottom of the photograph and smaller ones mixed in with the Dusty Attic toadstool and mushroom chipboard along with butterflies and foliage pieces.

Postage stamp washi tape is perfect to add some more images to your pages, I have added some at the top right hand corner and bottom left side.

I have added the bamboo circular laser cut under the photo along with the cute little bird perching on one of the mushrooms. To finish off my page I have added some of the coffee stain rub on transfers and more laser cut butterflies.

Hope you have enjoyed my latest layout, see you soon
