My Little Man - 49 and Market - Rust and Rev's

Hello and welcome to the blog today, I hope you are all ready for the festive season. I am looking forward to spending some time with my Grand kids over the holidays. Like Mason, who adores being outside in nature, whether it be the beach or a park or the "bush". I love these photos of him climbing a tree at the park across the street from us.

I have used the Rust & Rev's range and started with the 12x12 "Macho" paper then added a strip of the washi tape on the top and the bottom of the page.

I have then used 2 sheets from the 6x8 paper pack to use as photo mats then distressed the edges of the mats and the photographs. Using the Die cut and Laser cut pieces I have made a cluster at the top of the page hanging from chains and added the title "My Little Man".

At the left hand side of the photos I have made another cluster this time using the cactus plants layered over each other to form the look of a planter box.

The two die cuts I have used like wavy roads were white around the edges, I just used a pen and coloured the edges to fit into the layout better.

I just had to use the "Prince Charming" Die Cut, again I have coloured the white edges with a pen then added an arrow over the top using foam tape for dimension, then added more laser cuts to form another cluster.

The Frame I have used is from the Die cut set as well as the background paper, then I have added Laser cuts like the chain adding dimension by rolling the paper.

To finish off my layout I have added Rub on Transfers around the page with some of the epoxy wishing bubbles.

I wish everyone a wonderful break and hope you get some awesome scrapping time.

See you again in 2025 with some more spectacular ranges from 49 and Market.

Charming, Handsome and Mischievous - 49 and Market Rust and Revs

Charming, Handsome and Mischievous, this describes both my Nephew and Grandson to a T ! Especially the mischievous part when they are together. I took these photos on the way back from a Dirtbike show we went to for Mason's birthday called the "Freestyle Kings".
They both has a great time and loved the show.

The colours in the photo are just perfect for the Rust and Revs collection. I have started with the "Freedom" paper in the background as a frame and then trimmed 1/2 inch from the top of the "Discovery" paper. Instead of cutting some off of the side of the paper I have scored it and pleated the paper on the right hand side.

I then used Frames from the Die cut set and put pieces of the patterned paper behind the windows to look like the inside of a workshop behind the first photograph then added some wood panel and cactus on the side of the second photo.

The Laser cut elements have been layered with tyres, cogs and an old fashioned radiogram.
The words Charming, Handsome and Mischievous are also from the Die cut pack. I have cut the white section from around the outside of the word then coloured in the white space with a pen to blend into the layout more.

Washi tape pieces have been added underneath all of the gorgeous old cars which have been added with foam tape behind them to pop in some cactus pieces.  The compass rose has been added to the top right corner with chain and arrow laser cuts.
Finishing off the page are the epoxy wishing bubbles and baubles added to the frames and different parts of the layout.

Classic - Rust & Revs - 49 and Market

Hello and welcome to the blog today of my double layout of photos taken in New Zealand while travelling on a teaching trip with Janene from 49 and Market. This amazing "Vintage Cars Service Station" was so awesome with lots of different and interesting Cars and paranphanalia.

I have started with the "Journey" and "Expedition" papers which added together create a double page.

I have then used Frames from the Die Cut set around some of the photographs and behind some of the others.

I have added two of the leather look pieces and rivets to the photo to make it look like it is hanging then added the "I'm not old, I'm a Classic" title.

Lots of the Laser Cuts and Die Cuts have been used together to layer in different spaces on the layouts.

Using the imagery on the paper I have added different elements to make it look 3D adding foam tape behind the pieces.

The BP Bouser is at the garage facility then surrounded by the laser cuts it fits perfectly with this amazing range. I have then added different rub on transfers around the double pages.
