Coastal Living - Dusty Attic - January Mood Board challenge

HAPPY NEW YEAR Dusty FANattics

Today I get to reveal the JANUARY Mood Board challenge for Dusty Attic and it is just absolutely beautiful with its beach vibe and pale blues and soft browns.
Here is the Board ...

and this is my INTERACTIVE 12x12 Layout

Summer time means Beach Time and this is from when my Daughter in law Nicola took Kyden with my Grandbabies Mason and Rivah one afternoon to watch the sunset and have fun just playing around.

She took a few photos which I  wanted to add to the layout so I have made a flip open interactive page to include pics of the Princess fast asleep on her mum's lap while the boys splashed, made sand castles and had an amazing time!

I started with the Distressed Frames Large  and coloured that a sand/tan colour along with the Get Framed - Circle to match.

The COASTAL living Impact Title  ,   Designer Disc #8 Bubbly,   Arrows #3 and   Geo Tags where painted with two different shades of blue to compliment each other.
I then sponged some of the lighter blue onto the bottom of the title and the Designer Disc.

The Seagulls Mini Shells #1Mini Seagulls #1, and Mini skeleton Fish  I have painted with an array of creams and browns with a dash of pink. The Rope Knot #1 on the bottom of the frame has been inked with brown ink then I have added white highlights around the edge.

To complete my page I have added some stone art pebbles and flecks of white paint.

Beach days are the best - Vintage Artistry Beached

Hello everyone, today I have another set of holiday photos to share with you from earlier on this year. Kyden is skimming rocks, first you need to have the perfect rock though, chosen with care. I have used the NEW Vintage Artistry Beached line of papers and rub-ons.

I started with a paper called "Uninhibited" which I chose because of the palm trees but I think it reflects the photos in more ways that one. I usually cut my paper down and add a backing sheet but I chose not to for this page as I wanted all of the print to show.

This gorgeous wooden bridge was the first of the many laser cut pieces that I used, underneath I have used some of the wave rub ons (before adhering the bridge down).

I was scrapbooking with another design team member, Audrey Underwood while creating this layout and she ever so nicely shared her laser cut frame on her sheet with me. This way I could position all of the photos to tell a story of Ky finding and choosing the perfect rock, then of him skimming it.
I have printed these as 2x3 and then trimmed them on the sides to fit, each of the photos have been raised with foam tape to add dimension.

I have then stared adding an array of the laser cuts like the netting under the frame, fern leaf, in the sunshine tag and the thongs (or flip flops). The three arrows I made from adding the bottom parts of tags together.

I love this cluster down the bottom left of shells from the Vintage Artistry Shore laser cuts sheets plus more from the Beached collection including that super cute seagull.

Rub on transfers just finish off a page to perfection. I have used them all over my page adding interest with splashes, seahorses, starfish, shells and words.

I hope you have enjoyed my layout today and it makes you want to break out your own beach photos and get scrapbooking them.

I'm on Beach Time (17/10/2020)

Today I am sharing my take on this months gorgeous mood board.  I have used photos from January at the Yanchep Lagoon about 5mins from where we live. Ky is loving the beach life, sand, sun and surf !

The 49 and Market Vintage Artistry SHORE line is amazing for any beach themed project so of course I used the papers, laser cuts, ephemera stack and wait for it ... the smooth silky Rub-ons mixed with amazing beach themed Chippy was perfecto !

Most of my chipboard pieces I have used a combination of inks and heat embossing powders.
The Seahorse has about 5 different embossing powders to get the shades and colours I wanted.

The shells I have done the same, used different coloured inks then a sprinkling of embossing powders.

The seagulls, title and fishing lure I have used white paint and the hook and fishing net I used the every trusty "Pinecone"

Fish anyone ?

The lighthouse I have coloured using a chunky white embossing powder to give it texture and then the anchor I have also embossed then wrapped twine around it, I have bent and manipulated the chipboard to add dimension to my page, you can just use liquid scrap dots underneath or foam tape to keep the shape.

I have then added some Wishing Bubbles and sandstones to complete my layout. Notice I have used some rubons on my chipboard seahorse and shells and even on my photograph.

Not only are all of the following chipboard pieces available on the Dusty Attic website that I have used but also 49 and Market products
