Cool, Crisp and Delicious Days - 49 and Market "In the Leaves"

Hello everyone and welcome to my take on the 49 and Market Sketch challenge with the NEW NEW NEW  Vintage Artistry In the Leaves Fall range.

This is the wonderful sketch for September

and My Layout....

This is a photo of my gorgeously sweet Grand Daughter at the park across the road, I started with using the solid colour burnt red reverse of "Splendor" to cut a circle frame with a wait for it ... A Cuttlebug die, I know it has been ages since my Cuttlebug has even seen the outside of the cupboard.  I cut a section out from the right hand side of the paper to leave the patterned left hand side for another layout.

I have added it to the top of my page like the sketch and added chipboard behind my photo to raise it up so that I could add pieces behind. I then created the bottom cluster with Marble and Sunshine flowers adding white lacey trim in a semi circle shape.

I then added the Marble and Sunshine flowers around the photograph in sprays, tucking some more lacey trim in at the bottom to mirror the lower cluster.

I then got busy adding the amazing foliage pieces in and around both the top and bottom features, tucking in the ends under the flowers and photograph.

To finish off my page I have added lots and lots of rub on transfers, the green paint splash in a semi circle at the bottom the the words "Cool, Crisp and Delicious Days" over the top of the splash rub ons in a layering effect. The butterflies are so gorgeous and in different sizes add the finishing touches.

Delight - Dusty Attic Mood Board August 2021

Hello Dusty FANattics

Today I would like to share my take on the August Mood Board with this layout of my gorgeous Grand Daughter, she is just so sweet, sassy and a delight !!

I started with the ever so pretty colours and hues that took me to these photos taken at the park with the blue sky in the background. She was having fun scattering the leaves and making a mess so I wanted to use multiple photos.

To make the main photograph stand out I built a swag of flowers, foliage and leaves around it adding the mini wrought iron fence to the bottom of the photo and the heart banner at the bottom of the swag.

How super cute are the layered gnomes? I had to use one on this layout, I just love the extra beard piece that sits ontop and gives it lots of dimension!
I painted him white then added the colour using water colour paint and pens. Adding one of the ATC frames behind gave him a way to stand out from the flowers.

I have then added the title of the page.

The cute little leaves under the flowers at the bottom are from a mixed sheet of three different types of leaves, I have just used ink pads to colour them.

There are so many foliage pieces to choose from on the online store, I have used "Foliage #24" to complete the floral arrangement and the shape of the swag.

I hope that this has inspired you to enter the challenge for your chance to win one of two $50 (AUD) credits to the Dusty Attic online store.

It is so easy to enter, just put your take of the Mood Board in the comments section on the Dusty FANattics Facebook page HERE.

SEEK - 49 and Market

Hello everyone, today I would like to share my layout for the amazing 49 and Market of my super gorgeous Grandson. I have used this months August sketch challenge as inspiration.

Did you know that every 12x12 Collection packs come with a bonus on the reverse of the cover sheet? There  is always an extra paper to use, in this case I have used the white map pattered piece from the Vintage Artistry "Anywhere" collection reverse of the cover sheet then the deep blue is the "Quest"  and mustard yellow is the "Fragments" papers both also from the Anywhere collection.

Also in every 12x12 Collection pack are the most amazing laser cut pieces, I totally love the elastic looking ties that wrap around your photo or embellishments as you can see below with added ephemera stack pieces.

Under the photos and ephemera I have used foam tape to raise them off the page for added dimension. I have also used liquid scrap dots under the Essentials foliage pieces.

Don't you just love that strip of skyline down the bottom of the page? Guess what, it is Washi strip that I have coloured with the Spectrum noir Tri-Blend pens that offer such a gorgeous range of shades.

Finishing off my page I have added more washi that I have coloured around the edge then an array of different rub on transfers like the arrows, tickets, leaves, Discover definition and the "life is short & the world is wide" saying plus all those cute little beads. The epoxy dots are from the Wishing Bubbles and Trinkets pack also in the Anywhere collection.

I hope my Grandson explores the world when he is older starting with his own country Australia.
He is full of sass and curiosity which will take him far I know. Never stop Seeking Nanny's amazing little man.

You can be anything - Vintage Artistry Hike More

Hello everyone, today I am sharing a photo of my gorgeous grandson, I managed to snap this while we where at the park across the road, like a true little boy he has a hand full of leaves in one hand and a stick in the other. The Vintage Artistry Hike More range is just perfect for the colours of my photo.

I started my layout with the "Bramble" paper and turned it on its side so the branch and leaves are on the top and bottom of the page instead of the sides. I have also used the reverse of the  "In the Thicket " paper as a border around my whole page.

I have used two of the 6x8 paper pack pieces to mat my photo, then added file frames from the 3x4 pack behind and inbetween the layers.

Next I have created a cluster on the right hand side using pieces from the Hike More ephemera stack pieces, and a tag on the bottom of the photo which gave my page a title. Believe me this little boy Can be anything he sets his mind to, he is determined (read as stubborn) and knows what he wants at the grand age of 2 and 3/4.

The Royal Spray Olive flowers are absolutely perfect for this range, paired with Vintage Artistry Essentials foliage pieces and butterfly. I have added another piece from the ephemera stack, You can bend and shape all of these and the laser cut pieces as the paper is so thick and such good quality it holds it's shape. If I shape butterflies or anything that is quite sculpted I do add silicone underneath.

The finishing touches on my page are little love hearts from the Chipboard stickers pack, gorgeous epoxy dots from the Wishing Bubbles and baubles VA Sage and of course rub on transfers added to the tags, around the page and those cute mushrooms on the bottom right.
