Wonderful - 49 and Market Evergreen Season

Hello and welcome to the blog today, the last day of 2024 !

What better way than to end with a Christmas layout of my two amazing grand kids and Santa.

I have used the 12x12 Red Foundations paper as the background then added the bonus paper on the reverse of the Collections pack trimming it to 11x11 so I have a border around the layout. The photograph has been matted using a piece from the 6x8 paper pack.

I have created a layered cluster starting with the window frame with a piece of the 6x8 paper in the background, then added foliage pieces, wood circles and flowers. The lanterns have been sculpted with foam tape added to the back to hold their shape. Finishing off this cluster is the deer and bows.

The chipboard word "Wonderful" has been added as my title, I have coloured it in using a pen to cover the white edges and making it blend more.

The bottom cluster is also made using the Elements and Wildflower laser cuts starting with the frame and adding the same paper in the background. Then layered foliage and Santa together with the red truck and star flowers and bows.

There are two different rub on transfer packs that I have also used. The Wildflower pack that has lots of foliage and flowers and the Essentials that has paint splatters, phrases and words.

Thank you for joining me on the blog today and I wish you an amazing New Year.

2025 is going to be amazing.

Magic - 49 and Market Christmas Spectacular

Hello and welcome to my last post for 2023, we had a mini Christmas photo shoot done for Kyden, Mason and Rivah, when Bonita (the amazing photographer) sent through our session photos she added some in a snow globe with Santa, I totally adore this and chose this photo to scrapbook with the Vintage Artistry Christmas Spectacular range.

I started with 12x12 Spruce paper then tore 12x12 Foundations paper #1 in half and attached that to the bottom of my sheet. Using the 6x8 paper pack I then made three layers of Mats for the photo.

I put two strips of the Postage stamp washi tape down each side of the patterned paper. The Acetate Foliage really didn't stand out at all so I have painted the reverse with cream paint then added it to the corner and down the bottom of the photo.

The ephemera pack has gorgeous pieces of larger paper like the "Deck the Halls" paper along with tickets and more to layer, layer, layer.

I have used two different Laser cut packs to make my clusters, the Elements and the Foliage packs together, plus a few strands of the while lace.

Finishing off my page I have added 6x8 and 12x12 Sentiments rub on transfers and little Washi Stickers here and there.

Wishing everyone a magical, safe and happy festive season

J xx

Christmas Sleigh - Dusty Attic NEW MDF Sleigh

Hello everyone and welcome to the blog today where I have constructed the NEW MDF Sleigh (Small) that holds a wonderful Christmas pudding smelling candle for a display.

I also have a quick video tutorial to share

HERE on Youtube

First you need to cut the pieces out of the MDF sheet carefully.
I have then labelled the "inside" of my pieces as I only wanted to cover with paper on the outside.

I have then used liquid glue to adhere the outside pieces to the paper.

I then spray painted all of the inside pieces with Silver spray paint. When it was all dry I used my craft knife to cut around the paper for the shape and sanded all of the edges then used Gathered Twigs Distress ink around all of the edges.

The Baubles and Branch & Berries I have spray painted with white on BOTH side of the chipboard.

I have then used florist foam to put in the bottom of the sleigh and calved out a circle for the candle to sit into. I then added my Poinsettias and Christmas Baubles. The Berries I have painted with Gold on both sides and then added them to the arrangement.

Dear Santa - Christmas Spectacular

Hello everyone and welcome to the blog today. I am sharing this super cute photo of Kyden and his dog Skye at her first Santa shoot.

She was such a good puppy and loved sitting up on the big red chair with them both. Christmas Spectacular range was of course the most perfect range for this photo.

I have started with the Coloured Foundations 12x12 paper cutting a rectangle out from the middle of the page to use as a photo mat then lightly sanded the edges and machine sewn around the sides. The top sheet Christmas Spectacular "The Spirit" has been trimmed down to 11x11 and adhered to the foundation sheet. The Large title "Dear Santa" has been added from the 12x12 Sentiments sheet.

At the right hand side I have added three of the gorgeous baubles from the lase cuts, remember you can shape the paper by rubbing on the reverse of the laser cut. Added to the hanging baubles are two cute bows and chipboard stars with wishing bubbles and baubles as an added detail.

I had lots of fun decorating the laser cut Christmas tree with foliage pieces, bells, presents and bows. Added are wishing bubbles and baubles and Chipboard words.

The left hand top cluster has been made with a lace laser cut and layered Santa plus foliage pieces.

Behind the matted photograph is a Lace laser cut piece cut in half to add to the top and bottom of the mat. On the other side of my photo is a cute plant potted tree with foliage and flower laser cuts plus wishing bubbles and baubles. Finishing off my page are 6x8 rub on transfers like the string of Christmas Lights under the title and random gold stars.

Hope you have loved my Christmas Layout today and you are inspired to create for yourself. Add your creations to the 49 and Market Fans page to share.

Christmas Wreath - Dusty Attic December Mood Board

Hello Everyone

Today I am on the blog to share The Dusty Attic December Mood Board with you.

This is my take on the challenge

 Christmas Wreath

I started with Holy Wreath #1 and the berries painting them red, then moved on to the leaves with the lighter green.

Once totally dry I have used a coral colour to go around the lighter parts of the berries and a dark green up the stem to highlight the pattern. Then flicked watered down white paint to add splatters around the wreath.

The hanging baubles and bells have been spray painted white and the Christmas Berries #1have been painted with a plum colour.

I have added the whole piece to a sheet of clear acetate to then punch holes in the top so that I can hang it on my front door.

You can win one of two $50 (AUD) credits to the Dusty Attic website by adding your own take of the challenge. It is super easy, put your take on the board into the comments section on the Dusty FANattics Facebook page HERE.

Merry Christmas Santa - 49and Market Sketch Reveal

Hello 49 and Market Fans
Well here we are in December !
The month of celebrating the holiday season and spending time with family and friends. For me it is also about capturing the Memories in photo or video form, staged or candid doesn't matter.

It is also the first of the month so I have the honour of revealing this month's amazing sketch.  You could win one of two awesome 49 and Market Prize packs.
(Details how to enter are below)

My take on the sketch using photo's of my much loved and adored nephew goofing around in-between his "photo shoot" pictures. His gorgeous personality shines through in each of these photos.

I have started with the Peace and Joy "Starry Night" paper tearing it in half then tearing another pieces approx  two inches wide and flipping it over to the dark green side to make the first border section.  Because it is a sketch and I can change it to suit what I wanted I have added a piece of the reverse red side of the "Wishes" paper. Then I have flipped the other paper back over to the stars side for the far right and layered it to complete a 12x12 sized page.

I have then continued by layering my photos with the frames from the laser cut sheets out of the 12x12 Collection pack. Underneath the photographs and frames I have a layer of chipboard to add dimension to the page and enable me to tuck pieces in behind.  Now,  the antique looking frames in the ephemera bits pack are just a huge favorite of mine and I have used the two shades of blue behind the photos. The large red frame from the die cut sheet I have cut in half and layered one piece with the file frame tag under the green strip and the other side under the frames on the right.

The hanging party lights has been created using the roughly sewn rubons in black to make it look like string then the lights are added from the wishing bubbles and trinkets pack.

To emulate the sketch with the falling frames I have used the red, green and blue ones from the ephemera bits pack along with tickets and file tabs .

The cluster on the left hand side with the striped candy cane red frame has the super cute RED Santa Boots that I just had to use along with foliage from the laser cut sheets, and adding the little epoxy dots to look like baubles.

To finish off my whole page I have added some of the Essentials Hardware epoxied on the photos and a mountain of rub on transfers, the deer, the cute little robin bird, and lots of stars, around the boots, in the middle frame and around the robin plus a sprinkling of little sayings.
