Kind and Gentle Heart - 49 and Market

Hello 49 and Market Fans, today I have a layout of my gorgeous, cute, sweet little grand daughter Rivah, who really does have a "kind and gentle heart" using the  NEW Vintage Artistry Serenity range.

I have started with the 12x12 Calming paper and a circle (you can just use a dinner plate as  template) then machine sewn in light and dark blue cottons to create the main composition element of the layout.

I love the new Curators Essentials Key lined chipboard frames which I have used in two different sizes with pieces of the ephemera layered behind the photographs. The blue lace piece is from the laser cut sheet crumpled and folded to look like material and placed under the frames.

All of my laser cut pieces that have been shaped to add dimension have hot glue behind them to keep the form - as shown above under one of the butterflies or you can use foam tape, scrap pieces of chipboard or liquid scrap dots which is silicone that hardens.
I have layered lots of the laser cuts, ephemera and chipboard pieces plus added tags in the top embellishment cluster with white lacey trim.

The flower and leave stems from the laser cut sheets have been added in the circular composition as well.

To finish off my page I have added three of the laser cut cute buttons with thread already in them and chipboard pieces. I have added brads to the circular book plate before adding the title chipboard disc.

You're Awesome - 49 and Market - ARToptions Alena

Hello 49 and Market Fans, today I am on the blog with a selfie photo of my amazing little grandson and I on a "Nanny & Mason" day that we had together. We went by train to the museum to see the Dinosaurs of Patagonia display of the amazing bones found. What was the most fun was not being in a hurry ! We took our time wandering around and Mason had fun at the nearby little park and activities that were on that day. When I saw the ARToptions Alena range it looked perfect to scrapbook this memory.

I have started with the 12x12 paper titled "Peek-A-Boo" as my background, distressing the edges and added alternating strips of the fabric tape set to the bottom of the page.

Next I used the oval frame from the laser cut sheet and added a light peach piece of paper from the 6x8 paper pack to the back. I then added a large floral from from the amazing 12x12 rub on transfer sheet.
I have then layered more of the 6x8 papers behind the photograph, using foam tape inbetween the pages.

I have then layered pieces of the ephemera and topped with the chipboard book plate that I have added brads to and title of my layout  "Your Awesome".
Ocean Jade flowers are one of the perfect colours to compliment the Alena range so I have created a flower cluster entwined with fine laser cut pieces and acetate leaves and butterflies.

I have create the curled paper fringe by cutting the paper in regular intervals and using an awl curled the paper around it. Layered under a lace laser cut piece to add interest and depth.

The "Embrace Life" has been created by layering pieces of the chipboard pieces into the arrow shape. I have added some of Ocean Jade flowers and laser cuts to balance the composition of my page finishing off with some of the gorgeous butterflies and cute mini metal index clips.

Happy - Dusty Attic October Mood Board

Hello everyone, today I am sharing my take on the Dusty Attic Moodboard challenge for the month of October. I couldn't go past this gorgeous photo of my beautiful grand daughter who even has daisies on her little jumper that match the board perfectly.

I have used Maja Designs papers and started with monochrome Sienna, cutting a portion from the middle of the paper to use for the circle and using the darker shade as my background border.
I have then trimmed the patterned "Don't worry" paper to 11.5 x 11.5 and machine sewn around the edges.

Next I have gathered some 49 and Market ephemera pieces like the doily, view finder, tags and frame from the Vintage Artistry Coral collection and added them underneath the circle composition which I have used foam tape under to give depth.

Next I started with my chipboard, painting the "happy" title, heraldry motif, large and small daisies all white. When dry I added the yellow middle to the daisies and Wink of Stella glitter to the title.

The botanic runner and botanic mix I have painted with green then sponged a darker green onto the edges/circles.

I have then adhered my photo down using foam tape behind that also. Adding the chipboard motif to the bottom and botanic runner to the top with a cute daisy in the middle.

Using Salmon flowers I have constructed a floral cluster element on the right hand side weaving botanical mix and daisies throughout.

To finish off my page I have added some epoxy love hearts and butterfly bauble.
