Loved - 49 and Market Plum Grove

Hello everyone
Welcome to the blog today where I share a layout of my gorgeous little Grand daughter who is wearing a cute little dress that used to be her Mums. The ARToptions Plum Grove collection was perfect for this photo.

I have started with the Vines paper as my main piece and the Orchard paper as the base, trimming the Vines paper to 11x11 to give a 1/2 inch border all the way around. I have then machine sewn around the edges.
TIP -  cut a square out from the middle of the backing paper to use as a photo mat, to match perfectly.

I have then chosen ephemera and laser cut pieces to layer in the background like that gorgeous frame, using foam tape in between to add depth. The wrought iron laser cut I have cut to add to the top and the bottom of the photo to make it look like it travels all the way down the page.

I have also added more laser cut and ephemera pieces to the right of the photograph to balance the composition.
TIP - rub the reverse of your laser cut (like the butterflies above) on a mouse pad to give the pieces shape.

The new Ticket Essentials in Eggplant and Salsa are perfect for this range and I have used them as a layering element on the bottom right plus around the top and right of the photograph to add balance.

There are two packs of the brilliant laser cuts in this range, one of them being "Wildflowers" which is two whole sheets of amazing flowers and leaves that I have used in my flower cluster.
Natures Bounty Soft Lilac, Enchanted petals Salmon and Florets Mango are the beautiful flowers I have used adding a chipboard word piece as my title on top of the flower.
To finish off my page I have added rub ons in a circular motion of the right hand side of the layout to continue the pattern of the paper and three cute little chipboard hearts.

Cosy - 49 and Market

Hello everyone, how amazing is the NEW ARToptions Plum Grove range? I adore this colour and it is perfect for this photo of my gorgeous Rivah in her warm and cosy knitted jumper as we were getting ready to go out on our "Nanny & Rivah" day.

I have started with a 12x12 patterned paper and trimmed it down to 11x11 inches and machine sewn it onto one of the deep purple Foundations papers.

While I had the sewing machine out I thought why not sew on some of the 6x8 papers that I chose to layer in the background along with some of the amazing Curators Key lined frames which make up the composition of my page.

Flower clusters have been made using two lots of the stunning laser cut packs, Plum Grove and Plum Grove Wildflowers. Added are the NEW paper Wildflowers Flowers in the Plum colour.

See the chipboard word "fabulous" at the top? It is adhered to one of the new File Frames which pulls out and opens up to share some journaling about our girly day.  The arrow piece that says "Snapshots" is from the Chipboard pieces pack and tucked underneath the photograph in the middle of the key lined frame. COZY is one of the amazing rub ons from the 12x12 Sentiments pack.

After adding some laser cut butterflies with the wings shaped upwards to look like flight I have added some of the 6x8 rub on transfers around the page.

Crafty Fun - Dusty Attic November Mood Board

Hello everyone, can you believe it is November already ?  Today I have a super bright and fun layout of my two grand children who made some Dinosaur masks having "Crafty Fun".

This is November's striking mood board with bright fun colours, I knew I had the perfect photos for this! There were lots of scary "Roars" coming from behind those masks.

I started with mounting my photos with orange and blue and deciding on the composition of my layout with four photo's that I wanted to use, then I got to work choosing and painting my chipboard pieces.

The ABC123 borders I chose to add to the top and the bottom of the page and painted them with Impasto paints red and orange. The cute scissors I have painted with paint pens and the stars and Impact alphabet I have spray painted white.

To add some softness to the layout I then sponged some light blue paint over the Impact letters I used for my Title.

To colour the pencils I have used the same colour pen for the middle and then added the pencil colour at the tip and edges. Finishing off the scissors I have added some metal brads as the joint that opens and closed them.
