Hello everyone
I am here with you today to share a little boy layout of my amazing Grandson (every Nanny, Nana, Grandmother in the world has the best Grandbabies) He is two and a half and full of wonderment, intrigue, and like a true little person into everything, soaking in all the information around him that he can get.
I started with Paper #4 of the Vintage Artistry in Color Collectors Edition Vol 1 and cut an 8x8 inch square out of the back to use to matt my photographs as well as be the backing sheet of my layout. I then cut 1cm off each of the side and bottom of Paper #2 so I had a half-centimeter border around the outside. I have then distressed both papers around the edges and adhered them together.
The Wedgewood Layered embellishment pack has this stunning circular foliage piece which is what I have used in the centre composition on my page. I have layered some of the laser cut notebook edge and envelopes together and put under my middle main photo. Using foam tape so I could still add things underneath I stuck my matted photos down loosely, then added a lot of the laser cut paper leaves at the bottom section of the foliage circle along with some tags and cute little nest stamp.
** Tip, if you don’t have an embossing tool and core mat, just use a pen and mouse pad to add shape and dimension to your paper elements with a little ink around the edges to add a contrast **
The little clusters on the sides of the layout are also from the laser cut sheets with added rub-ons and some of the pieces popped up with foam tape. I have then added some more of the layered embellishment leaves along with some of the Sky Wishing Bubbles and Bauble pieces “you Shine” and “free Spirit” which suit him to a T.
I absolutely love love love the Rub-Ons, I have added lots from the Sky / Navy collection, the stitching, watercolour marks, striped strips, little love hearts, doily, and all those amazing beads. The metal arrow on the top of the middle photo is from the soon to be shipping NEW Shaped Paperclips (Dark Greige), to finish off my page I have used the “authentic” word from the Essentials Washi strips, the new washi comes in shapes and words and one whole sheet on the other side to be used as you like.
