Sweetest - 49 and Market

Hello everyone, today I would like to share a layout of my cheeky little grand daughter using the NEW ARToptions Alena range.

First I have used the "Flirty" paper as a background and cut a photo mat out of the middle from the back. Then used the "Full Bloom" paper cut down to 11.5" x 11.5", distressing each of the papers.

I have used two of the ephemera frames the Coral at the top left and the green at the bottom right.
Then cut around the butterfly in the background to lift up over the ephemera frame.

The chipboard pieces have been placed down the side of the photograph, adding the cutest little laser cut buttons complete with thread. I have layered some of the tickets from the ephemera pack and lace laser cut. Little pieces of the fabric tape has been added down the bottom left to balance the gorgeous green/blue colour.

Adding three little tags from the tag set and a little heart chipboard piece at the top of the photo. Butterfly rub on transfers have been added including the "you are Adored" which she is totally loved and adored !!
The stunning photo wrap has been added, however it was too wide so I have just snipped a little piece off.

Some more of the laser cuts have been added like the stamps and gorgeous iron work heart. The flowers have been shaped with foam tape underneath to add depth then three NEW little Salsa flowers.

Simply the BEST - 49 and Market

Hello everyone, today I have a layout of my gorgeous Kyden, we have a little ritual of after every hair cut he has I get to take a photo.

First I started with the Solids #1 paper and cut out a circle from the middle of the back before using it as a border piece. I have then cut a circle frame which I have machine stitched and added the reverse light blue paper onto a chipboard piece to add layers to the page. I have then cut the Peaceful Notions paper to 11.5 x 11.5 distressing edges of both papers, then adding some machine stitching around the edges.

Look at the amazing leaves in the laser cut set ! I have shaped them using a mouse pad and a pen then added liquid scrap dots behind them to keep the form then layered over the top of each other.

Lots and Lots of layers have been achieved with ephemera and laser cut pieces. I have added the washi tape to a piece of card and torn the pieces adding them to the layers. Two of the ephemera pieces I have put through my big shot with a Star embossing folder inking the edges.

Using  chipboard pieces I have layered three of the arrow pieces topped with the book plate and the title "Simply the Best" and cute little laser cut button.
He is one of the BEST things in my life and brings lots of happiness and joy to so many.
The chipboard tag has been embellished with the ironwork key and some winged things.

I have used the "Best" from the 12x12 Sentiments rub ons onto a white piece of cardstock and fussy cut it out as to make it stand out by adding tape underneath to layer it. I have then added some more of the amazing leaf laser cuts layered across the bottom.

Sweet as Candy - 49 and Market Spectrum Sherbet

Hello everyone and welcome to my newest page using the amazing Spectrum Sherbet range which suits my gorgeous, happy, sassy, sweet as candy amazing little grand daughter.

I have started with the solids Watermelon paper and machine sewn zig-zag and straight stitch around the edges, while I had my machine out I decided to stitch around the chipboard part of the Strawberry Lemonade Frame sets. The Painted Foundations - Washed paper has been trimmed to 11x11" and adhered to the background paper.

A section of the butterfly 6x8 paper has been framed in the zig-zag small frame and slipped under the photographs on the left. To add interest I have cut around the orange butterfly and raised it's wings. When you do this it makes a hole at the back of your paper so I have added a piece of the pink paper as a peek a boo backing, then added an Orange Index clip to balance the frame.

On the right hand side under the layers is a piece of painted corregated card to which I have added one of the lace 12x12 rub ons.

I have layered pieces of the ephemera pack together with laser cuts. To add dimension to the elements rub the back on a mouse pad with a pen or tool.

The gorgeous chipboard words and shapes have been added along with the acetate leaves. To finish off my layout I have added an array of the 6x8 rub on transfers like the stitching, strips, stars and butterflies. One of the butterflies I have added to clear acetate to give it form and shape like it is flying.

I hope you have enjoyed my bright and beautiful layout today and I will see you soon.

Simply Perfect- Dusty Attic mood board challenge

Hello everyone, today I am sharing my take on the Dusty Attic Mood Board challenge for August, it is super sweet pinks and browns.

This photo of my gorgeous little grand daughter was taken at a park where she kept bobbing her head down and saying "Peek-A-Boo".  This is just one of the many things that photographs do, evoke memories attached to them.

I started by spray painting all of my chipboard except the frame and title white. While it was drying I have covered the Distress Frame with the patterned paper and machine stitched around the edges of the pink background.

I have painted an ombre effect onto the Simply Perfect title with browns and pinks, and the pink of the little frames. I have added black card behind the mini hearts to make them "pop" and some of the patterned paper inside.

The Cherry Blossom tree and the cute little Songbird have been painted using the same brown for the branches and pink for the blossoms adding white, dark pink and light brown dots.

The flowers, leaves and bird are fussy cut from the Forest tea party paper. The chippy toadstools layered in between where a must along with the awesome dandelions, you can't see them and not want to make a wish.

The Forrest Friends Llamas are simply just too super gorgeous together with the cute little Forrest Friends Reindeer.  I have left them mainly white and just coloured their wool and scarves with fine tipped markers.
