THREE !!!

I totally fell in love with the 7 Dots studio papers - Destination Unknown!
My other Love of corse is Dusty Attic chippy
and MOST of all is  KYDEN !!
When did he become Three ?
(although it is only two more months and he will be FOUR)

Some of the things he loves at the moment are
Swimming, Playdates (with his little partner in crime- Cadence!), Pretzels, The Fairy Mines (which is the pine forrest near my house), Moobies  ! and of corse he can not get enough of SUPERHERO's !
ALL of them
Superman, Batman, Flash, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Wonder Woman, Hawk Girl, Captain America, Wolverine, Green Lantern and the list goes on and on and on...

I used different Martha Stewart punches and took bits out of some of the edges then put the green behind to add a bit of colour

I have used a mask and black crackle medium to add some grunge to the background
Then machine stitched around the layout and the photo. The circles are clear pebbles from Prima and I have laid them over some quotes that I love
(He is definatley my "Happy")
I left the Dusty Attic Chipboard raw which is something I rarely do but it really suited the paper and layout. I have used TWO of the new releases as well.
( I can see me using the arrows and diamond ALOT actually )

The other little letters are the mini alphabet stickers from Tim Holtz, add a little bit of washy tape and some little white dots and its finished.

Love this Little Monster

This "boy-oh-boy" range from Carte Bella is so bright and happy, I totally love it !I have use a fine black art line pen and added small dots around the circles to make them stand out and create a border effect.

Another thing I love doing is layering papers and chipboard, the banners and the arrows from Dusty Attic are perfect for this.

Here you can see where I have doodled a little on the paper with dots and dashes to highlight sections and the title.

Adding White elements to bright pages make them "POP"

There are three layers of arrows around the semi circle to add depth with some machine sewing.

Using beading wire you can wrap it around an "awl" to make it curly to add to the banners, also bending and adding shape to the chipboard gives the layout dimension.

Create Art Journal

HAPPY NEW YEAR
2015 - wow !
when did that happen ??

Below is one of the projects that I did to enter the Scapbooking Memories Masters competition.
I love the criteria they give you every year, this one really got my mojo flowing and I love what I created.

This is my Art Journal cover - I have added lots of photos because it is so dimensional and has layer upon layer.

I have used Bo Bunny paper in the background that also has a pipework pattern.
The edges of the piece are using Dusty Attics Corregated card, painted with Dusty attic silver paint and lots of different Tattered anglel Mists and embossing powders to give the rust effect

The enamel embossing powder I used gave it that "mottled, mouldy look" I was going for.

I distressed and bent the chipboard so much to make it look worn and old .
Dusty Attic chippy is so thick and is awesome for doing this to.

I added wire and metal bits and pieces

Dont follow your dreams - Chase them....

Hello everyone
I have recently found the art of book folding
I LOVE it - so relaxing and you don't need a lot of supplies to do this craft
so it is easy to "take with you".

This is one of the bird houses that I did
and put into a frame, this is in my Scrap room
** Don't follow your dreams - Chase them**

I have used lots of Dusty Attic chipboard to decorate it along
with Kaiser papers in the background

The flowers are from Prima and the leaves I had in my "stash"

I also did this Fleur De Lis BOOK FOLD and covered the book, I added a bottom to the book and decorated that as well.
The flowers are old book pages punched out with a die, the Cherish word is from Dusty Attic and the cute little bird and nest I had.
This is also in my scrap room
(can you see the theme here ? LOL )

Halloween layout for Dusty Attic

Hope you had a spoooooky day
and get lots of treats with NO horrible
 tricks played on you!

In Australia we don't celebrate Halloween
like the rest of the world - "big and bold" Some people do it and decorate etc but not a lot.
My Husband is Scottish and has always loved
Halloween, great memories from his childhood
I also love it and am taking my nephew out tonight He love, love, loves superhero's so will be dressed as
either Batman, Superman or Iron Man He is yet to decide !

SO I will have some more great photos to Scrapbook !
and Dusty Attic have an amazing range to choose from

This is a layout I did (photo taken BEFORE my nose job - hehehe)

Gargoyles are a HUGE favourite of mine
and then I have also used the new Page Pebbles and small chain
Mini skeletons, Mini Pumpkins, Tree

Page Pebbles #14    Jack-O-Lanterns  Gargoyles

Bend and shape your chipboard to add dimension.

I love how the tip on the GLOSS is fine enough to add just
a touch to what you want to highlight

Here are a few other items available for Halloween

You can get them straight from the website DUSTY ATTIC
